We also commit to refining our approach through student-centered data, using insights from student experiences and outcomes to continuously improve our programs, support systems, and impact.

wHO WE SERVE

All students at Mines are welcome to engage in MEP services, programs, and events. MEP students include those who are looking for community at Mines and are in need of access to academic and professional opportunities. We support students in accessing resources, mentorship, and experiences that foster belonging, academic success, and career readiness.

Community is at the heart of MEP, connecting students to resources, opportunities, and each other. It strengthens every part of the student experience—supporting access, engagement, and success—by fostering a sense of belonging, mentorship, and shared growth that empowers students to thrive at Mines and beyond. 

Student Access

Student Access connects both prospective and current students—especially those facing barriers—to the resources, networks, and opportunities they need to succeed. Through outreach, scholarships, and academic support, students gain early exposure to professional pathways and build the foundation for success at Mines and beyond. 

Student Engagement

Student Engagement creates spaces for students to connect, lead, and grow. Through student organizations, campus events, and industry partnerships, students build strong peer networks, develop leadership skills, and gain hands-on experience that enhances their academic and career journeys. 

Student Success

Student Success ensures students have the support they need to thrive—academically, professionally, and personally. With advising, tutoring, career prep, and alumni connections, this pillar fosters persistence, graduation, and long-term success while reinforcing a strong sense of belonging. 

Professional Development

Professional development is woven throughout MEP, equipping students with the skills, confidence, and experience to lead in their fields. Through workshops, mentorship, leadership roles, and industry engagement, students are prepared to thrive in research, careers, and beyond.
